Most of us are guilty of buying bottled water occasionally. For a while, it could have even been considered a fad.
[ Personally, I’m a fan of Fiji but it may be solely because of the bottle shape and waterfall imaging ;) ]
But here’s the problem. Single-use plastic bottles aren’t good for the environment. You know that, I know that. In places like NYC, where I’m walking around frequently, I feel almost guilty asking Starbucks for a free iced water vs. just paying for the bottled water they provide.
NYC has a new initiative called TapIt. TapIt is up and running at over 100 locations of cafes and restaurants in NYC. These participating venues are offering free refills of your water bottle.
You can even save the embarrasment and find participating locations at their website or through TapIt’s iPhone app.
I’m feelin’ good about hydration :)
